The ‘caries free school’ program is a school dental health program of Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Kothamangalam. Muttathupara Lower Primary School (MLPS) is a lower primary school situated in Kottappady in a rural area of Kothamangalam. The aim of the program is to make MLPS ‘caries free’ and create an oral health-promoting school with the active involvement of students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
