Fee Refund Policy

REFUND OF FEES

Candidates who cancel their admission by obtaining a Transfer Certificate before the dates announced by the CEE are eligible for refund of fees.

No Refund of Fees

  1. No refund of fees will be made to candidates who apply for Transfer Certificate or cancellation of admission under any circumstances after the last allotment notified by the CEE. They will have to pay liquidated damages
  2. Candidates who do not take admission in the last phase of allotment in the respective courses will not be eligible for refund of fees and will have to pay liquidated damages.

Liquidated Damages

  1. Levy of liquidated damages from candidates discontinuing their studies:

For BDS courses, if a candidate admitted to Government or Self-Financing Dental Colleges allotted by the CEE discontinues after the third allotment in the same academic year to join other courses or colleges or for any other purpose, he or she is liable to pay liquidated damages ₹5, 00,000 for BDS. This applies irrespective of annual family income, nativity or reservation status. The candidate will also be debarred from appearing for entrance examinations or allotments conducted by the CEE for a period not exceeding two years. In case of failure to remit the penalty, the amount will be recovered under the Revenue Recovery Act.

Discontinuance after first academic year

If a candidate admitted to Government or Self-Financing Dental Colleges allotted by the CEE discontinues after first academic year he or she is liable to pay liquidated damages of ₹5, 00,000 or fees for remaining years, whichever is higher, irrespective of income, nativity or reservation status.

Penalty for filing or retaining unnecessary options

For remaining courses, candidates who do not take admission during the final phase resulting in lapse of Government or Management seats will be penalized. Penalty is ₹5, 00,000 for BDS. Their candidature may be cancelled and they may be debarred from CEE examinations or allotments for up to two years. Failure to remit the penalty will lead to recovery under the Revenue Recovery Act.
